About this event

On Aug. 16, the largest telescope on a university campus anywhere in Canada was installed at the Allan I. Carswell Observatory.

This state-of-the-art 1m reflecting telescope offers our students unprecedented opportunities to explore and understand the night sky for their classes and research. For the public, unrivaled views of the night sky will be available to them every Wednesday evening starting Oct. 2 on our regular Public Viewing sessions.

The Allan I. Carswell Observatory would like to invite any faculty or staff at the University member and their families to attend a "sneak peak" with the telescope.
